4 years of mediocrity while that OL Continues to degrade and Elliot gets older. They will need that defense to be a good as it was and IMO major drop off from Marinelli to Nolan

Long run, paying Dak $35M/year will prove to be an atrocity. Short term, it probably means a few more 8-10 win seasons before the shit hits the fan. I just hope in that short term, they’re not racking up more season sweeps of the NYG...

True. Having to rely on other teams to put them down is beyond painful. Not that im The biggest Garrett fan but I don’t see any real upgrades on that coaching staff. Losing Fredricks hurts them and Tyron Smith is moving into Chris Snee territory as his body is breaking down. Again their D is the strength and with this shut down I think they regress a ton on that side
The cowturds will have a lot of money wrapped in about 6 players
I'm glad to see them lock up so much money in a handful of players, hopefully it does indeed hamstring them down the road. However, how many QBs would you choose over Dak right now? For me it's a pretty short list. Mahomes, Wilson, Rodgers, Brees, Watson, and maybe Brady. Lamar is right on the cusp. That's only for one year, looking long term that list trims to 3 really quickly.

I’d take Josh Allen over him now. Wentz too. And there’s A guy like Goff whom I don’t love but I think is the pretty much the same level. It’s pretty simple. No team prepares for to stop Dak. They want to stop Elliot. Just because there are tally of great QBs means you over pay Dak. That’s what screwed teams like Minny and and is Bengals who locked up meh QBs

That's fair. I left Wentz off because I believe the best ability is availability. I could make an argument for Allen long term but same situation as Lamar to me I need to see more. You are right though that teams don't prepare to stop Dak. My point about paying him is that there aren't necessarily better options available so you secure what you can.

For 1 season I would take Zak Prescott over DJ8, for a career franchise I would take DJ8 - his floor seems to be Zak Prescott as long he fixes his dainty fingers.
IMHO he is definitely a top 10 QB in the NFL. Did you know Dak suffered the most dropped passes in 2019 at 36. He would have had a top 5 QBR.
Plus nobody is taking into account his mobility and running ability.
For a 4th round pick terrific 4 seasons.
My only wish as a Cowboy hater is that he doesn’t lead them to a SB.
Don’t blame Cowboys for paying him.
Wait until Mahomes contract negotiations. It will dwarf what Dak is going to get paid.

Prescott still had one of the NFL's best offensive lines - even if they aren't at their peak anymore, a monster RB behind him in Elliott, and good receivers. For a comparison, name one guy on our offense who absolutely, without debate, would start for the Cowboys on offense.
Your question about our offensive players reflects on the sad state of our roster and why we our one of the worst teams in the league.
Dallas has a potent offense but a very average defense. That’s why they are middle of the pack team in the NFL.
It’s not all on Dak and I stand on my opinion that he is a top 10 QB in the league.
Everyone has their own opinion

Damn, that last statement is depressingly accurate.
And yes you’re right. And yes it would be amazing if they tied up that much money for someone of his mediocrity.

If Jones is up for his 2nd contract and is only as good as Dak Prescott the Giants should let him walk. Prescott is replacement level.

Regarding Dak though, I agree with Rick in Dallas
