NFT: Rick Pitino interview... for a slow football day

KingBlue : 3/26/2020 10:10 am
Really informative and fun interview with Pitino. I, for one, am glad that he is back in college hoops. He is as fiery and competitive as ever and I think that bodes well for IONA.

Didn't realize all the recognizable coaches that were once at IONA... Jimmy V, Tim Welsh, Kevin Willard, Tim Cluess.

I just believe people we entrust our 17 year olds to should be role models or at least morally secure.
OK

I, personally, am not one to sit in judgement of anothers morals, but if you are then your opinion has been noted.

Because you feel that way you probably did not read the article. So, I guess there is nothing more for you and I to discuss on this topic.

It's not about that or judging others morals.

1) he's a serial contract jumper
2) he's a known cheater and liar at KY and Louisville and was run out of the NCAA
3) since it's a Catholic institution, it matters that he is also a known public adulterer and paid off the woman to abort the pregnancy he caused. All of which are against Church teachings.

Sadly this is typical of the Church in recent years. Do as i say not as I do. I guess big time basketball coaches get special dispensation.
I ate at that Restaurant he had that fling with Karen Sypher at

They have a fish sandwich named after that infamous hook-up called "The Red Snapper".

Good food

To bring up the Catholic Church and what's against their church teachings while saying basketball coaches get special dispensation is not where this thread was intended to go. I refuse to go there and you can guess why.

I know what you mean KB, and I agree with you. It's what I meant by "typical of the Church in recent years". But at some point they (or any scandal plagued instituion) has to say enough and stand for something. It's very sad to me.
