Daryl Williams to Bills

on a 1yr deal. I know there were a few here that suggested signing him on a short prove-it deal as he played out of position all last year. He did prove that he was fully recovered from his ACL.

but didn't play especially well. It would have been a risk, and this Bills deal clearly indicates the Bills think so as well.

I was adamantly opposed to signing him last year as the risk of his knee rehab was too great. Instead, we felt secure signing a guy who couldn't even pass a physical until after the draft. He didn't play well this past year as he played out of position. Some players are versatile enough in which they can play other positions and some are strictly a single position on the OL. What he proved this year was that he was fully recovered from the knee surgery/rehab.
Would have liked him more than Fleming.

Proved he was healthy last year. His past play, low cost, and our current situation would make you think its the good fit as a low risk/high reward move. The kind of move a rebuilding team can shorten that timetable with should it work out.
Damn

I was one of the biggest supporters of signing him. Buffalo already has a very good OL now they have excellent depth at tackle with Williams and Ty Nsehke.
