As a kid, I remember watching him and the Globetrotters on ABC's Wide World of Sports. Just loved how Curly dribbled the ball. They put on a great show.
I recall seeing them live in Rochester's War Memorial Stadium back in the 70's. Just a blast.
on Wide World of Sports. Curly, Meadowlark and Geese were my favorites.
How many of you are old enough to remember the Globetrotters Saturday morning cartoon that ran for 1 or 2 seasons?

i do. back then the Trotters were a treat. TheNBA still played a more serious, less showy game. Seeing the Trotters dunk, no look passes and dribble was fun
grew up watching the Globetrotters from the 70s. Loved the cartoon too. Another piece of my youth gone. RIP Me. Neal. Thanks from some great childhood memories.
Yeah I agree, saw them both as a boy and they made the Globetrotters IMO.
