He surrendered 1/3 of a sack. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sack measured in thirds. I assume that means he was 1 of 3 offensive players responsible for the sack?
Caught my eye at the combine, for sure a day 3 guy, but comes from good blood lines and appears to be a clean prospect.
FWIW, I would love to see the Giants cluster draft OL this year (preferable 2 tackles and 1 guard) so Heck in the 6th or 7th would work well with that strategy.
I kept watching this LT dance around keeping the edge rushers off balance and away from the QB. He threw one of them to the ground. I was so intrigued I had to look up the name of the guy from his number on his back. Turned out to be Charlie Heck. I've been on his draft train for awhile. Pick him up in the later rounds and he'd become a starter in a year or two. Big guy, dances well, future LT in the NFL.
Charlie has the athletic talent to be one of the best offensive tackles in this draft but I’m not sure that’s what he wants in life. He strikes me as the type of person who just wants to go fishing every day and not the type of kid that is motivated to play any competitive game to the best of his ability. I watch him play on film and it looks to me like this kid just loves life and playing football is not a priority, it’s just a means to an end...I’m only going by what I see on film, and maybe there are reasons for this talented player not to be as dominant as his athletic talent suggests he should be at this point in his career. I hope there is because if Charlie can be motivated to play up to his talent level, he will be one of the sleeper picks in this draft and play for a long time for the team that selects him.
Giants found a later round/FA contributor on the OL. People cAn hate on DG all they want but he’s found OL I the draft that are a lot better than the absolute shit Reese ever did. This has to be a priority. There is no depth and 3 guys who most likely will start right kiwi who should t be o the roster in 2-3 years under any circumstances

Why the Heck not?
