NFT: How do people break into brand new cars!

BigBlueDownTheShore : 3/27/2020 12:12 pm
I live in Philly and tweekers among with others will break into your car and go through your center console and then just leave a mess
In your front seat when they don’t find anything.

Now, I can understand how they could have gotten into my older car that was 11 years old.

How did someone just break into my brand new CRV?

They didn’t bust the windows and the car was locked when I parked it.

I just don’t know how they did it!
Philly tweakers...

...lol

One thing I've noticed
DC Gmen Fan : 3/27/2020 12:26 pm : link
that with some of the newer cars that have proximity unlock systems, you think you leave the car locked but for some reason you either walk by it too closely or bump the button, etc and it unlocks.

I've noticed many times in the morning I come down and my car is unlocked even though I swear I locked it.

Bingo, this is a big problem here in Tampa Bay with all the homeless. It's easy for them to walk by and check. There's reminders everywhere to lock your car.

I don't own a Prius. Nothing worse than a bunch of tweakers having sex in your car and turning that thing into a nightmare.

robberies in Montreal last fall and they were talking about this exact thing.
The police here were recommending to put your keys in the freezer or a metal tin like in the link below

Here is a CBC report from Toronto.
