Via NYG conference call, James Bradberry: Said Giants "came out of nowhere and made an offer to me." Said Dave Gettleman talked exclusively with his agent. Also said he "knew it was nothing but positive," in terms of joining Gettleman and NYG

Dan Salomone:

CB James Bradberry on a conference call says he brings experience to the locker room. He has also has experience with GM Dave Gettleman, who drafted him in Carolina.

Bradberry on Gettleman: "I think he saw me improve each and every year. ... That's what I want to do with the younger guys."

Bradberry says he is a versatile CB who can play man and zone

Bradberry said he has been a mentor before in the NFL, points to Donte Jackson with the Panthers

Bradberry said he's looking forward to working with DeAndre Baker. He saw him coming out of college and knew he was a really good athlete

Bradberry said he didn't really talk about football a whole lot during his first call with Coach Judge. They just talked about life and dealing with the whole situation. Bradberry, who is in Charlotte, said his training has pretty much come to a halt.

Bradberry said he is battle-tested after going against the NFC South wide receivers.

From what I've heard, the #Giants went hard after Byron Jones but the #Dolphins weren't leaving FA without Jones
And #nyg needed to more than just slightly beat Miami's offer b/c of the state tax laws
Clear NYG wasn't leaving FA w/o one of these two

That's funny, I also think his name doesn't sound like a football player. I was thinking anchorman or investigative reporter. "I am James Bradberry and this is 60 Minutes."

It's safe to assume they investigate all FA's. Clowney has been, but the price is outrageous, and some fans have this needless impulse to pay no matter what the cost. Do they not learn from 2016's mistakes? I like the signings although many won't have guys like Martinez or Fackrell as popular favorites. I think we'll see more signings, such as Golden, be around and be cheaper to pick up whereas he wanted a lot a few weeks ago.
