I haven’t seen anything about this reported, but have also read that Goodell has not yet wavered from the existing time schedule for the draft. It seems like this would be pretty easy to do. The guys being there and having reps from each team sitting at tables, etc. is more for tv ratings and spectacle than anything else.
It should be rather easy to set it all up..I miss the days of zero jackassery with Berman, Kiper(whether you like him or not) and Dr. Z. Maybe that will return absent the tomfoolery

Of doing it via conference call like MLB does Days 2 and 3 of their draft

I have actually liked Kiper and McShay in recent years. Ever since Frank Caliendo parodied Kiper, he has been totally different on air. I forget where I read it, but Kiper supposedly looked at tapes of his appearances after that and realized that Caliendo was correct and became more careful about toning it down.

Agreed, I used to enjoy the draft a lot more in the 90’s and early 2000’s. For starters it was great having it on a Saturday and being able to hang out with buddies and have a few beers and enjoy the first few rounds. The analysis was also much better and was focused on the game.

That’s good to hear Mike. I’m one of the few that has liked him. Whether he was correct or far afield re his opinions, he was always well prepared imv. I haven’t watched any draft shows the last bunch of years as the shtick was too much to take, not to mention the overwhelming graphics.
I think it would be great for the country right now to be honest. We need a positive distraction at this point.
That’s the important part of the process
