but not BBI fans.
I liked the part where he discussed his role last year

I think he'll be ultra productive against the run in this defense. I would be pretty surprised if the Giants don't have one of the top run defenses in the NFL next year.
He reminds me a lot of Harry Carson ...
Manny in CA : 3/30/2020 8:25 pm : link

Not only in intelligence but in the way the Pack used him. Harry was LT's super-reliable clean-up guy. LT is the best defensive player in the history of the NFL, but Harry had a lot to do with it

LT took the chances, Carson was there to make sure nothing bad ever happened, behind him.

You make it sound like Carson was Taylor's sidekick. Carson was a Pro Bowler before Taylor came into the league.
He sounds great....seems to be confident in his coverage skills

Even if he comes as advertised...a tackling machine but not great in coverage makes him an improvement over Olgetree....who couldn't tackle and not great in coverage.

Harry Carson was a Huge and Physical, C lassic Middle linebacker---and absolute Run Sticker---one of the hardest and SUDDENEST Tacklers I've ever seen.

I like Martinez....smart, run to the ball backer with decent all-around skills--a PRO...NOT Harry Carson!
Very impressed, seemed very intuitive on his actions on the field...

I like how he understood his breakdowns in coverage and it almost came off to me that the Packers put him in a role that didn't suit is strongest skill set (A/B gap).

Also with the pandemic, the NFL should allow playbooks to be distributed to players earlier this year.

Seems...

Those who’ve actually worked with Patrick Graham have a very different opinion of him than a lot of posters here.

Manny has a tendency to get excited about players and oversell.
i never once watched a packers game and thought

So you don't have high hopes for him because you watched a few Packers games and he didn't have 40 tackles, 10 INT's and 7 sacks in them?
Seriously damn good interview.

I will be honest that I wanted the other free agent LBs versus Martinez but now that he is a Giant, hope he really shines.

Because we need it at that position.
If the Giants draft Simmons
blueblood : 3/31/2020 1:46 pm : link
we MIGHT actually have a decent LB corps again..

Simmons, Martinez, Fackrell, Connelly, X-man, Carter, and Mayo actually could be at the very least decent to solid.

and also super young, which means growing pains. Everyone wants the young prospective player but never can endure the learning curve these guys go through.

1/2 of you are already done with Lorenzo Carter.
