NFT: Help with installing webcam (wrong version of Windows)

FranknWeezer : 3/30/2020 6:07 pm
I've got a practically-new webcam from 2007 that's been sitting in a drawer for years. I'd like to install it on my home PC so I can use Zoom. I'm running Windows 10 Pro. Ran the disk (Drivers), and installation couldn't complete because this cam is compatible with Windows XP. Any way to make this work (are there driver updates to 10 pro), or is this camera needing replacement? Thanks for any advice.
check to see if there are driver updates

Thanks I'm working on it, but no luck so I headed to see the geniuses at BBI!
I don't see Windows 10 in the dropdown list...

So which one do I download?

I feel like I'm on the other end of having to explain to my parents how to work their phone.
Link - ( New Window )
this might help:

the link says it applies to Win 10.

I don't know which cam you have though to know if this will work.

Get firmware, drivers, and software for Microsoft LifeCam cameras - ( New Window )
alternatively

you can try installing the drivers in compatibility mode:

Many thanks! That looks like a good start. Working on it now.
