so he can sign anywhere and we dont have the option to match. Since the Giants didnt tender him, he became an unrestricted free agent. Hopefully another team swoops in and signs him after his stellar play last season.
I hope that they land one of the top centers in the draft and also sign a veteran like Evan Boehm. I wouldn't be opposed to re-signing Halapio but only as a backup. I am not a big fan of Halapio but I would much rather have him as the backup instead of Pulley. Spencer Pulley is just an awful player.
RE: Hopefully Judge has seen all he needs to see with Halapio
BBI loves its soundbytes. Once it gets a hold of one, look out!
Coach said something positive about a player. Player sucked. News at 11. It happens a lot in the NFL.
Come on, acting like people are overreacting is a little disingenuous don't you think?
Halapio had next to no experience at C coming in to 2018. He was the definition of a JAG (he played semi-pro for the Boston Brawlers before coming to the Giants). Despite PFF saying he played well in his first two games in 2018, he did not. The interior was a mess in preseason and those games was a mess, his line calls were terrible.
Relying on him at C in 2019 was a big big mistake. It wasn't just some kinda bad thing that happened.
Seems like a hard worker and is easy to root for but I don't want him or Pulley starting.

Only if jj meant he wanted guys who are willing to get punched in the nose for sixty minutes....
+1 ... he was 100% healthy last year and did very little.
