Giants (#4) swap first round picks with Jacksonville (#20) for Ngakoue. They can get their franchise QB, and we get the defensive playmaker that we desperately need.
If that is not enough, we can swap second round picks in 2021, or whatever is reasonable.
Hopefully one of the top tier tackles are available at #20. If not, we can target center, safety, or BPA.
Just gotta figure how to pay Ngakoue.
Beside that why would the Jags give up Ngakoue and their first round pick to move up. They're more than likely wanting the 4th and keeping their own.

and their 2nd.
This would give NYG
1. Ngakoue
2. Pick 9 select a Left Tackle
3. Pick 36 Select a Center or Free Safety
4. Jax 3rd round pick, select Center or Free Safety
We would have 8 more selections to address:
WR, RB depth, OG depth, OT depth, LB depth, CB depth
No thanks, Eric. I used to play FF till I wound up with NFC East players playing against the Giants. Haha!
However, you would have to have a long-term, 4 year type deal in place and essentially signed prior to the trade. We of course could make it happen.
The other dilemma we face is how highly do we rate the #4 pick? Who is likely to be on the table when we pick? Getting the contract done beforehand isn't likely given Jags would want to know their guy is in place at #4 FIRST, right?
Ngakoue is a good rising player, but he is due a lot of money, and as JonC has pointed out, he is not an elite ER.
This move screams win now. I know we need star power on D, but Ngakoue is not a transcendent player. You better be getting back HOF talent in that kind of a deal.
