is almost totally predicted on:
1. What Washington and Detroit do.
2. If any teams (preferably at least two) behind us have the hots for a QB not named Burrows who is still there at 4 and they want to deal.
Re #1. Colin indicated some speculation that the Redskins may like Simmons over Young.
Anyone know if any of Dan Snyder's kids went to prep school with Simmons?
Anyone keeping close tabs on the DC media market re any credible rumors that they may not pick Young?
Detroit of course is the issue. They may get a great offer for #3. They may like Okudah over Simmons etc etc.
Any insider info there?
Re #2 These factors also affect Q#1 since Detroit may be similarly pursued for a trade for a QB.
Fun stuff. We are in a great position (though better had we #3 pick 😀). I hope we go BPA which probably means Okudah or Simmons if we stay at #4 or if we go OL, it is not with pick #4.
My analysis, of course, neglects the possibility that DG has fallen in love with a 'Hog Mollie' and will take him at #4, regardless of who is available or what trade down offers are made.
My 3rd choice is trade with Jacksonville(if they want the 4th pick) for the 9th, Yannick Ngakoue and an additional 3rd......at 9, depends on who is available but probably a OT.
Not that I am saying I want the Giants to draft him, but that thought of two shut down corners would be most problematic for most offenses we faced.
I know we need to protect Daniel Jones, but I am thinking Simmons if available will has to be the choice.
Initially Coach Judge said in his initial interview it's his job to get the best players out on the field at the same time. The most athletic and fast 6' 4" football player in the draft needs to be on the field for our defense day one as one of those best player out on the field with the potential to be that best player on the field.
Giants are drafting an OT. As they should. Get used to the idea. Call it 95%.

I agree. But it’s not great positional value at #4 given the talent level, which is why I hope for a trade down. Get your OT in round 1, but gain an extra pick or two in the process.
LT essentially defined the OLB position forever.
I wonder if Simmons is another paradigm shifting player?
Is he the one folks are predicting would be best inside, or is that Wills. I get confused.
