Retail will literally never be the same after this. It's been a steep and predictable decline. This will spell the end for some iconic brands.

Macy's Inc. has lost 94% of its value in 5 years.

Maybe we'll see a conglomerate buy up the trademark like Saks did with the Barney's.

Otherwise Thanksgiving and 4th of July will look very different in New York.
