“Free Agency Update” that he’s told by sources he trusts we take OT with our first or second pick. As in it’s a definite. Seems like a no-brained, but just passing along.
think Wirfs is the most likely pick, but curious about the early 2nd round options. Austin Jackson would make a lot of sense, and Ezra Cleveland is certainly interesting with his athletic profile.

If we're going for upside, why not Becton? It sounds like he has far more upside at tackle. I'm confused why we'd go with Wirfs over him.
So there is no guarantee that any of their targeted OL will be available with their 2nd round pick. If they don't go OL with the 4th overall pick (or via a trade down), then they will likely have to trade up from the second round in order to get an OL they truly like.
In my mind the best case scenario remains a trade down that allows them to still grab one of the top four OL.
I think we are hoping a qb team trades with us or a team targeting Simmons. We want an OT it’s painfully obvious. You don’t sign Blake Martinez to then draft Simmons. We have peppers. People hate the comparisons but in our defense they will play exactly the same role.
There is no way Jackson falls out of round 1. If he falls into the mid to late 20’s I would be perfectly happy with a trade up to secure his rights. If by some miracle those are our first two picks then the Giants hit a home run.

Sorry Tuck - I think your logic is flawed with this Statement - If anything Blake Martinez is the perfect compliment to Simmons and not a Replacement - but if your plan is only have one coverage LB is versatile and that one is kind of slow - I guess you are all set - should be fun to watch - also is David Mayo a starter, and Lorenzo Carter is a terror out there too.
is the 47th ranked prospect (some have him higher, some lower), its not really a stretch at all that he could fall to the 2nd round, especially with so many QBs likely to go in round 1 (Burrow, Tua, Herbert, Love) plus all the top defensive talent (Young, Simmons, Okudah, Brown, etc etc etc) and then the top OL before Jackson (Wirfs, Becton, Thomas, Willis, Ruiz? etc)
but any OT at 4 will be a disappointment to me. Need considerations at that high a pick would be crazy. You go BPA -- the top guy on your Board. Period.
Wirfs is #7 on the HDR rating posted here. I can't imagine any OT rated better than 7 on any rating Board.

2. Austin Jackson

I am probably reading into this too much but it sounds like Simmons if we stay at #4...or an OT if we trade down in the 1st.
If we stay at #4 and go simmons we will pick the best OL in round 2.
Whether that s Jackson, Wilson, or Ruiz in the early 2nd.

I guarantee the giants take a football player with their 1story 2nd pick. Maybe even both. Stay tuned
Yeah, really. And there isn't going to be quality tackles at the top of the second. They'll all be gone in the 1st. Dumb.
2. Austin Jackson
Doubt Jackson is there in the 2nd.

Simmons then Jackson isn't at all a pipe dream.

Can Wirfs play C, btw?
