Dion Lewis conference call notes

RB Dion Lewis: "I grew up a Giants fan." He looks forward to playing with his hometown team, Joe Judge, and Saquon Barkley.

Dion Lewis on reuniting with Joe Judge: "He brings a lot of energy. He's very detail-oriented. You're going to be prepared." Lewis also said he's lively and brings the jokes.

Dion Lewis said he and Saquon Barkley will learn from each other. He wants to make the RB room better, which will make the team better.

Dion Lewis on Daniel Jones: "He did a great job last year." As a veteran running back, Lewis said his job is to make DJ's life easier.

Lewis attended Albany High School and Albany Academy in Albany, N.Y., before transferring to Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J. He was named the New Jersey Prep Offensive Player of the Year in 2008.

Dion Lewis: "My body is relatively fresh." He still feels he can make guys miss and will do whatever the Giants want him to do.

Lewis grew up in Albany.
Mentions his 3 years with Joe Judge in New England.

Dion Lewis acknowledges with Saquon Barkley "You want him on the field as much as possible.''

Dion Lewis says he was a "frequent visitor'' at Giants training camp at the University at Albany. Remembers seeing Tiki Barber, Ike Hilliard, Amani Toomer, Kurt Warner and others.

Dion Lewis says "I didn't take much of a pounding'' last season with the Titans and that his body is "relatively fresh.''
Lewis is 29, a veteran of 9 NFL seasons.

Dion Lewis says Joe Judge being with the Giants, working with Saquon, and that he grew up a Giants fan made it an opportunity he "couldn't pass up."
