Well its a pretty direct quote about a top paid player, from a coach known for defense. And he isn't wrong (harsh yes but not wrong).
His strong opinion is not the problem. Calling a player a "turd" is the problem. It's just not acceptable.
I agreed. But its a story whether he calls him a turd or not. An ex-coach calling out a top paid player at his position is going to get headlines regardless of the language used.
When does this ever happen, especially unprovoked and in the offseason?
Critique of Cooper was scathing. Lack of dicipline calling AC a turd only served as a distraction from Ryan's message. I do think it was a lack of discipline and not malicious - he's got a downhill mouth with undersized brakes (self-control) once he gains momentum, he's often going to go past the proper stopping point.
is not acceptable because there really isn't any reason to say that.
If you want to get technical - define a "turd". No matter how you cut it, there's a negative connotation and even if you have a person speaking in candor, there are a lot better word choices to go with.
It's fine to point out that Amaris has a history of disappearing in big spots, but it is completely and utterly unprofessional for an "analyst" to call him a turd.
If I'm Amari, I'd respond by saying that Sexy Rexy puts the "anal" in analyst.
The only WRs to outplay Cooper since he arrived in Dallas have been
Michael Thomas
Julio Jones
DeAndre Hopkins
Mike Evans
Cooper is the 5th WR in production since he came to Dallas. The first three names are considered the best in the NFL and have the largest contracts. Mike Evans is so underrated, you never hear his name when top WRs are spoken about, but you should.
Dallas did the right thing signing Cooper. The #1 pick they traded for him and his production say so.

Why are you posting this here? Take it up with Rex Ryan.
Besides that, I haven’t seen you once, not one single time be critical of your beloved Cowboys on this site. Everything they do is awesome. You literally defend everything about them 100% of the time. It’s impossible to take your incredibly biased opinion seriously.

I never say how great or awesome Dallas is.
I just merely give facts and let them stand on their own.
Just like this post. There are only 4 WRs that have out produced Cooper since he has been in Dallas. Three of them are considered the top three in the NFL, and are each compensated accordingly.
Those that agree with Ryan are just wrong when the facts are taken into account.

That's one thing that he can improve upon, being more consistent.
Last year Dallas had the #1 offense, but were wildly inconsistent. This doesn't help Cooper. We'll if this improve this year.

I agree that Cooper was inconsistent, but that was the whole Dallas offense in 2019.
The Dallas offense feasted against lesser opponents, but when they stepped up in class and played the better teams, contenders, they failed to produce. This was all facets of the offense.
If you break down the wins and the losses you can clearly see this. In the wins Dallas averaged 37 points a game and in the losses 17. That's a drop off of 20 points or 3 TDs per game. The supposed #1 offense was also the most inconsistent in the NFL.
I know Cooper had this reputation before he came to Dallas. But it's difficult for a WR to be consistent when the rest of the offense isn't.
Cooper's age, and production in totality is what justified the contract(also the 1st round pick).
