Cruise ship sunk Venezuelan Navy ship after being fired at and rammed.
According to Curacao media and their information, ANBV NAIGUATA did attempt to seize cruise ship and take her to Margarita Island, east of Tortuga, under a dubious pretext of “violation of Venezuela territorial waters”. Ships navigating in these waters enjoy the right of free passage, so it looks like an attempt to hijack cruise ship. |
From the BBC:
Venezuela navy vessel sinks after 'ramming cruise ship' (you can see a picture of the damage to the cruise ship there)
Who can forget the EPIC battles of Naval History!
Greece: victory over the Persians at Salamis.
Britain: victory over France and Spain at Trafalgar.
The U.S.: victory over Japan at Midway.
Venezuela: curb-stomped by the Love Boat.
Greg! Where've you been!?! Hope all is well.
Interesting.
Also not sure why the cruise ship did not stand by and rescue the crew of the gunboat even after it had, supposedly, fired warning shots at the cruise ship. That is a bad look.
Also, the Cruise ship at first glance may be at fault for the collision and the gunboat was crossing from the starboard(right). However if the gunboat altered its course (which it sounds like it did) then the gunboat is at fault for failing to maintain its course and speed and causing the collision.
Whatever, lots of bad information from both sides.
Johnny Depp stars as a Venezuelan captain who tries to hijack a cruise ship and ends up getting drunk with the ladies.
Anyway its plot was a haunted WW2 German military freighter roams around the Atlantic ocean ramming and sinking cruise ships.
This story is like the reverse of that lol
hmmmmmm.
Somalian captain?
IS there a difference in this situation?

Yeah, the cruise ship won and pirates lost their patrol boat...
What a gross miscalculation!
