Vegas betting odds on the Giants 1st round pick

I’ll say Simmons too. But I’d be scared I’m gonna get shot in the head.

OT Round 2
Center round 3 (trade up possible)

That DG would be tempted to go more quality this year than quantity like he did last April. While there was the trade up for Baker all in all he stock piled picks throughout the year and ended up with a bunch. I know we have a lot of holes but really we need quality in my view. We need to get 3 clear cut studs in this draft. No better way to get those 3 than to use all the capital at our disposal to gather 3 picks within the first 60 or so slots. Of course one could look things differently and want the trade down too. I get it, but I’d be pretty excited if we walked away with 3-4 big time selections, coming at the expense of those late round picks.

but I'm leaning Simmons just because he's so unique. What players can bring to the table in the NFL what Simmons can?

You can find an OT. But it's much harder to find a do it all turnover machine other teams have to gameplan for.

And here's a weird one: in the 2018 draft, Vegas had Josh Allen as the favorite of the big four QBs (Allen, Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield) to score highest on the Wonderlic test. That surprised me with all the talk of how smart Rosen was. Sure enough, Allen scored the highest of the four and it wasn't even close between him and #2.

Those are odds are strictly for the Giants pick. They went down because there's more chatter around Simmons going to the Giants.

I also think any speculation about Simmons going before the Giants pick is just off. I can't see the Lions passing up a trade down or Okudah (in light of the Slay trade). If they do take Simmons at 3? Great. That opens the door for the Giants to play the Dolphins and Chargers against each other to get SOMETHING in a trade down, even if its "just" a high 3, for their favorite OL with almost a 0% risk of losing that player.

IF the Dolphins and Chargers wind up competing for the spot in search of a QB I think the Giants would get more than a 3rd out of it.

AC casinos are closed but I can still place bets on their apps. I assume Vegas has a similar setup?

Exactly. Vegas just announced they are going to start taking wagers on iRacing, so how would that be possible if they weren’t taking bets?

Is a player I could see us take with our 2nd pick, he is a guy who could be a good center, but could be a very good guard. Drafting him not only gives the coaches flexibility, but the front office gets more flexibility, you can still draft a center moving forward and move him to guard if needed.

Once offenses had to key on him AND he kept making plays, the defense took HUGE leaps. Simmons could have the same effect on this defense. If they see it that way, then he is a no brainer at 4.
