NFT: Anyone Car Shopping (SUV)?

UConn4523 : 4/5/2020 11:22 am
My Rav 4 lease is up next month and prior to COVID19 I got pricing here and there but didn’t have time to go in for test drives. My lease is with Toyota so they will cover mileage overages and return fees if I get another but outside of that I’m not locked into them.

I’m looking for an SUV in the same class as a Rav, and combing through all the deals right now. 0% APR would be nice if I buy (I’d love to get 1 car out of a lease). Anyone in the same boat?

I’ve actually been looking at the new Kia Seltos - very cost effective and good reviews from everything I’ve ready. Anyone own one?
I sell Chevy cars

I know GM is going to honor all deals/numbers worked prior to the shut down since legally you can’t buy a car right now. I would imagine other manufacturers would do the same.

I will say this....if you like the RAV, check out the new Blazer. It blows the RAV and CRV away. It’s a bit pricier but the rebates in my area are so good, the pricing is comparable to the other models and you’ll get more car.
My previous pricing was meh

so I’m hoping to get a better deal now that the market is pretty much dead. Haven’t looked into the Blazer yet but I’m trying not to spend that much, especially with the uncertainty of the economy. What are figures looking like in your area for the base model?
Anyone know if I could refinance my car loan

Right now. We just purchased in August, but in have a feeling interest rates are lower now, but I have no idea what to look at.

I’m looking at certified pre own as well, hear nothing but good things about Kia.
Just before the shutdown

I turned in my 2nd RAV4 and got my 3rd. I love it and the 2020 (same design as the 2019 if you can find one) is outstanding. And I only deal with the base LE model no frills.

I did test drive the Hyundai Santa Fe before making the deal and I did like it. But, that was also a loaded model. I think the base model for Toyota is safer and better than the same for competitors.
I haven't actually looked into pricing since the shut downs
Matt M. : 4/5/2020 1:42 pm : link
because I already got mine. But, there are all sorts of ads suggesting deals are out there in the wake of this. I will say that the pricing I was looking at before I made the deal was very similar from manufacturer to manufacturer in that SUV class and it w.as all slightly higher than my 2017.
My wife and I are looking at the

Infiniti qx50. A little bigger bit it’s nice.

Acura RDX is a good car in the same class as the rav4
I don’t think you can beat the Toyota...

I love my Highlander and intend to get a new one either later this summer or next year. I’ll look at the Rav 4 too, but I like a little more space and the extra weight of the Highlander. Great vehicles.

You might check out the Honda Passport. It’s a nice size between their CRV and Pilot. Honda’s are to notch quality and value. Both the Toyota and Honda lease very well because they have such terrific resale value.

It’s totally anecdotal, but my good friend had a lot of trouble with his Kia Sorento. The trouble was with the electronics and he said the dealer, out eastern LI was not helpful at all. Having said that, I drove a Sorento up to Maine and back and it was really nice to drive on that long highway trip. It handled nicely in the woods too but I hardly put it through too much.
I bet

The longer you can wait the cheaper the car will be.
My wife has a CRV that we love
UConn4523 : 4/5/2020 3:16 pm : link
Passport is just more than we need and I don’t need to spend on the upgraded size. I’m pretty much looking to save money long term and be in the same size car.
For what it's worth, my wife's sister

just got a Subaru Outback and she loves it. She previously had a CRV, Santa Fe, and Accord and says this is the best car she ever had. I also have a friend who has an older Outback and swears by it.

Near me the blazer can be had at about $320/month for a lease.

I think so. I am a loyal Toyota driver, but my 50+ old man car is going to be a Mazda MX-5. I am going to wait until the fall. I bet there will be plenty of great deals.
Just got a Model 3
WideRight : 4/6/2020 8:27 am : link
Much cheaper than a gas-burner. Even with gas at $2, I'm saving alot of money/month. And its just a much better car than anything out there.

It will hold its resale value extremely well. In five years, the resale value of combustion engine will be extremely low.
Just so you have all of the bases covered....

Bentley makes an SUV, starting at a modest $168,000.
Maybe his and hers?😀
