If the Giants sign Golden, are Fackrell and Golden

Interchangeable on both strong and weak side? Or does one provide some skills that the other one doesn’t and does that make them more effective together?

From what i have read about Fackrell, he is better in pass coverage than he is as a run defender. From last year’s performance, Golden appears to be rushing on every play, rarely dropping into pass coverage. I don’t know if Golden is one dimensional because of his skill set or the way the defensive scheme was implemented.

My read would be Golden and Ximenes

on onside Carter and Fackrell rotating on the other side. At least watching the way golden aas deployed last year.

Also think the better option would be to add more of a stand up DE type then Golden. Would even venture to say that if he gets cut bringing back Vernon on the cheap would be better then resigning Golden.

That Ximines is a starter by week 1. He was drafted highly because of his production despite the small school and more importantly because of his terrific handwork. Goes a long way in the pros and he should in 2019 that he at least belongs out there. Golden to me is solid player but we’ve seen his peak.

Carter I have no idea about. But I’m hopeful he’s on the way up. Only going into his 3rd year. Lots of ability just needs to harness it.

But as ur ur and his whole staff seemed to be utterly inept and developing anyone on either side of the ball. Let’s hope Graham who made chick. Salad out of chicken shit with almost nothing in Miami can help both Carter and X

Golden gets signed if the price is right. But there are 31 other teams and at least one will likely pay more than we are willing to pay.

The key to our pass rush is Ximines and his developing along with much improved back seven coverage. We may have had the league's worst coverage last year.

With Carter, Ximines and Fackrell on board I think we're done at OLB until the draft.

Golden would have to be a rotational guy

to be considered viable imo. He is not a complete player and will thrive is a pass rush only role on a team that has a #1 guy. Thats not here and probably why the staff has not made a bigger effort to resign him. He is a high effort / high character guy and I am sure he was considered at a much lower cost. His 10 sacks were mostly do to his effort rather than skillset imo.
