I can still see you at Yankee Stadium dodging Giants defenders and just wreaking havoc on our defense.

RIP Bobby Mitchell.

One of the best ever battles I’ve ever seen,

was between Bobby Mitchell and Erich Barnes. BBIers would have loved that match-up..

For those who don’t know, he was originally a RB with the Browns and complemented Jimmy (that’s what he was called then) Brown. He was Mr. Outside to Brown’s Mr. Inside.

He was then traded to the Skins for consensus best college player Ernie Davis, who unfortunately died not too long after of Leukemia.

BM became a great receiver (Flanker) with the Skins. One of the best zi ever saw.

Thanks for the memories, Bobby. RIP

on TV quite often (certainly every time they played the Giants). He was so smooth. One of those players that made it look easy. RIP to a great one.
I always found it interesting that both Redskins All Pro WRs

from the 1960s were converted RBs, as was also the case with Charley Taylor.

He was a very entertaining player. I was watching
Paul Brown (A Football Life) yesterday, he traded
Bobby Mitchell to the Redskins to draft Ernie Davis.
Unfortunately, people didn't get to see Davis in the NFL.
