Just remember, if you lop of an ear at home, the emergency room might not be able to help you Lou! All kidding aside, my local barbershop is having a contest for "Best Home Cut". They are giving out a gift basket, and throwing in a free cut & shave to make it all presentable again.
Months ago. Been getting thinner and knew at some point I’d be going shorter and shorter. My college age son’s will be doing it. Ow. Time to earn their keep. If they want TP I better look good lol. On a plus side since both my ears are cauliflowered they don’t hurt when mangled and losing one might be an improvement
Ive been using clippers for 15 years or so, and these are my favorites by far. Metal guards like at the barbershop. Feels more professional on the few hairs i have left. The guards can add up if you need more then one or two lengths though.
I have two a Magic Clip by Wahl cordless & a Wahl precision plugin. Both work great unfortunately doing a high and tight flattop both are needed doing it yourself. Or at least it makes it easier.
Crazy thing is I hate doing my hair and dread it every other week and decided a few weeks back I was done and hitting the barber from now on. HA! not so much I guess.
You really cant go wrong with Wahl just maintain it! keep it clean and oil it every now and then it will last years.

Works great, on hair, beard and (TMI trigger warning) body hair. My wife checks the back to make sure it’s even. As others have said, keep it clean, oil it occasionally and it will serve you well.
Mine came with about 15 combs and other accessories. The eyebrow attachment is the one bit I never got the hang of. Scissors works fine there to ward off the Mad Scientist look.
Ironically, at a time when millions are scooping up Wahls to cut their own hair, I’m using mine less. On Skype, close-cropped hair looks like no hair, so I’m cultivating my first combover.
and haven't been to a barber shop since. No maintenance for the clippers except for a drop of oil every 6 months or so.
I also bought a nice pair of shears and thinning shears, Arius-Eckert, though I hardly ever use the thinning shears anymore. Thinning happens naturally.
and the Phillips Norelco MG3750 is the best I’ve owned. I just buzz my head so I don’t know what you are looking for, but that thing is indestructible, incredible battery life and works great. I bought it while on a trip where I left my much more expensive one at home. The thing never dies, it’s unreal. It’s also ridiculously cheap, maybe $20. I ended up buying the high end version of that but I never bother using it.
Not available til the 20th.
So we'll see. All the "good ones" are out of stock for a longer time.
If you've noticed, Wahl is the brand almost every barber/stylist uses.
Don't forget to use the BBI Amazon link :)

Former Boxer, I presume?

Over-priced, when really not as good as the others and surviving with a cult like band of douchy hardcore followers?
Works very well.

OK, here you go.
Have you tried this guy? He gets great reviews:

I agree on the HC4250. I had Wahls but this is the best balding clipper I've used so far. It's fast, cuts close, and very low maintenance.
