Earlier then most here think. The last four years the top center was taken:
2019 at #18
2018 at #20 and #21
2017 at #58
2016 at #18
The trend suggests if there is a good one you need to grab early. Not sure how Ruiz stacks up just saying a lot earlier then people here think.
In 2018 8 centers got drafted with half (4) going day 1 or day 2.
Most seem to think this is a good center draft so the question is how good?
Ruiz, Hennessy, Biadasz, Cushenberry all seem likely to be day 1 or 2 and could be day 1 starters.
I've seen several others (less frequently) ranked in the top 100 as well - specifically Muti, Hanson, Harris, Williams, and Ismael.
The numbers would point to it being likely that at least half of the names I just listed will be around when we are on the clock in the 3rd round with the comp pick.
Ithink he’ll go in the back half of the 1st round.
there is no way they are entering the season with just Pulley. Maybe there is a guy avail on trade market like Linder as a backup, or Judge likes Pio, or maybe they love Gates there. Who knows. But there is no way they enter training camp with just Pulley.
Linemen probably need to be "overdrafted" compared with what we are used to.

Or through FA they are in deep shit. Prepare for d linemen intercepting handoffs to Barkley and lots of sacks. P & P are not the answer. But maybe I’m just “sleeping” on them 🤣

We better hope not!! Ugh..
I remember a number of years ago the Cowboys "reached" for Frederick at the end of 1st round and people were shaking their heads. Look at their line with him and without. They will be looking to take a C too...
Many here would have us overdraft an OT at 4 and then overdraft a C at 36. Giants have holes everywhere except for QB and RB, and they're not going to fill them all in one year.
Draft BPA at 4 and 36. Then we can worry about filling those holes.

With a slight tradedown in round 1 we could some of the draft capital or a lter round to jump up like we did last year back into round 1 if Ruiz falls enough.
Pick 6 or 7: Wills or Becton
Pick 25 ish: Ruiz (stud reciever or Murray)

Day 1 starter for the Giants. No other team is so desperate for a Center.
The knock I see against him is that he doesn't have NFL strength...pretty sure guys can get stronger.
We’d like to hope so...
Don’t be surprised when Gettleman tells us not to sleep on him again and they re sign him and roll his repaired body out there.
