For those who are familiar with him, Nick Harris, C in 3rd?

Nick Harris, center, Washington: The Giants are in the market for a young center and Harris (6’1″, 302) is a tough guy who fits what the Joe Judge Giants are aiming to be: hard-working and team-oriented

That was from a speculative article in USA Today..

Sy?
He is severly undersized
Mike in NY : 4/8/2020 9:57 am : link
The question will be how will he hold up against larger DT's/NT's if we are going to want to pound the rock.
That should say
Mike in NY : 4/8/2020 9:57 am : link
Severely
He's short not undersized.
Dave on the UWS : 4/8/2020 9:58 am : link
He might be a good pick with the comp in rd 3.

Ala Jones and Evan Brown. Where are they now?
If one of the centers drop to our 3rd RD....
George from PA : 4/8/2020 10:11 am : link
Assume they will have flaws that will prevent them from starting.

If we want a starting center....it has to be in 2nd RD.
He’s a very good center
Jay on the Island : 4/8/2020 10:12 am : link
I don’t care about his lack of height. If he’s there in round 3 he would make a good addition to the giants as long as they didn’t go center in round 2 obviously.

LOL. He's 6'1" so he's going to turn out to be like 2 random UDFAs.
Too short?
Csonka : 4/8/2020 10:17 am : link
Not sure why height would matter much at that position.
Can you wait just one more day?

Sy'56 is going to post his C/OG evaluations tomorrow. Sheesh, doc.

I was unaware of that. I don’t recall Sy’s schedule.

Has Harris as his fourth ranked Center going in the 3rd round. Says he is well suited for a zone blocking scheme.
I

think he'll be long gone by #99. I also don't think he fits what the Giants are looking for at C. He's not a "hog mollie."
I saw almost every game he played at UW
odunde : 4/8/2020 11:04 am : link
But I’m a huskies homer and have no idea how to evaluate o line play. I’ll say he was very athletic, a ton of fun to watch, and a great kid. He also has some injury concerns. Thanks he rest I will leave to the experts.
I think the kid will be a good player
Biteymax22 : 4/8/2020 11:06 am : link
He moves very, very well for a center and is phenomenal out in space.

With that being said, looking at the blocking schemes they ran in Dallas the past few years, he may not be a fit for that system.
OG / OC preview comes out tomorrow morning

Biadasz
ryanmkeane : 4/8/2020 11:20 am : link
and Cushenberry seem like better targets for the offense we will run
I

don't think Cushenberry will be available at #36. Biadasz might be a good option at #99.

That's what I'm thinking too.
Biadasz and Harris
WillVAB : 4/8/2020 11:51 am : link
Are my favorite Centers in the draft.

And DG seem to favor power guys.

Harris and Hennessy don't fit that bill as much as Ruiz,Cush and Biadasz do.
Look for a player with a strong anchor to deal with the brute DT's...
Torrag : 4/8/2020 1:21 pm : link
in our division. Guys like hennessey/harris don't fit the profile.

Ruiz/Cush/Biadasz.

Then maybe draft a second one late to battle Pulley for the backup spot. Think Jake Hanson type. He's a little light now but unlike some others has the height/frame to get bigger in a pro gym.
Biadasz
ryanmkeane : 4/8/2020 1:54 pm : link
seems like a Frederick clone. I mean their measurables are literally the same.
