Anyone listen to Brady on Howard Stern this morning? For those that don't subscribe to SiriusXM, it's free right now to everyone until 5/15. You can also replay the show if you missed it.
I am in the middle of the interview right now. Gotta admit, as much as I have disliked him, it's a good interview thus far and good insight into who he is.
I don't buy that. All of these guys care about their legacies, whether they admit it publicly or not. I just think he wanted to get away from BB/BB probably wanted to move on as well.
He and everyone else know what he’s done, so not it’s going to just do what he wants.
He talked about we over me, team over individual so many times in his interview. That my take on the legacy answer was he doesn’t play the game for himself, but for the franchise and his teammates. Worrying about your own legacy is a selfish thought.
And I agree, for a guy I never cared for. It was an absolutely great interview.
I used to hate Tom Brady (sports hate of course) until I met him at a charity event for Best Buddies around the Pan Mass Challenge.
Seemed like just a normal guy, and he was very approachable and philanthropic.
Stuff like that changes my opinion pretty quickly about people. there were no cameras that I saw, no reporters, just people and a cause.
Looking forward to the interview.
I still think he's a weird dude though in many respects.

It didn't hurt that Montana took the Chiefs to the playoffs both years he was in KC including the AFC Championship game in '93 and arguably added to his legacy.
His legacy is already written.

That's my opinion of him as well. He seems like a nice dude, but definitely a little weird. And if don't think, catch Tom vs. Time.

He's even more douchy when he tries to come across as not douchy!
You could say that. That really should be all that's needed to be said, but plenty of Montana haters (along with Brady and every other successful QB that didn't have Elway/Peyton/Luck pedigree).
That win in the Astrodome against the Buddy Ryan Oilers in the '93 playoffs was one incredible win. Also beating Elway in Mile High MNF was maybe a proper game to settle things on an even playing field that hadn't happened prior really (Marino did get his revenge though on Montana the next year).
For all the system talk and downplaying of Montana because of Walsh dynasty and Jerry Rice, he proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he was the real deal. Beating Steve Young and the eventual SB champs was pretty good, almost too good to be true.
KC had one playoff win between winning SB IV and Montana's arrival and not another one until Alex Smith won one for them 22 years later.
As for Brady, revitalizing a Bucs team that has a perennial loser tag to them (or maybe interesting at best) could be significant. If Brady takes them to the playoffs and does some damage, it would have to erase system QB moniker 100% regardless if they have Evans and Godwin.
End of the day, I've learned to win one championship let alone several is really damn hard to do.

He could have beat the fucking Eagles man.
Actually, Lombardi is in many (most?) circles
