The kicks weren't an issue when they had the other snapper in, right? I think it's obvious it affected the kicks. And Pat knew, which further shows how bad he was at his job.
It's true, DeOssie had to have screwed up his timing with those snaps
Another Dr that hes friends with said he treated Rosas for a groin injury last year that was limiting him. He said he is healed. Take it for what its worth...

While I love hearing tidbits of inside info, said friend of friend shouldn’t be spilling the beans on Rosas or any other patients medical condition.
"he treated Rosas for a groin injury last year that was limiting him"
I the above is correct and he had an injury, then ok I'm on board with giving him another year. However kickers are a dime a dozen. They get hot, they get cold. Teams replace kickers all the time. He needs to do better or we should get someone else.
and $3.3 mill seems awful high after last year. I do think DeOssie's downfall was a partial reason for his inconsistencies. Maybe he had the groin, IDK, but he reverted to 2017. But McGaughey is a good coach, so he must have had a say in retaining Rosas.

Yup plus Judge, of course, has no doubt watched film of every kick from the last 3 years. Had he really wanted to make a change we probably would have. Hope we get him right this year
this year. Possibly bad communication and chemistry between the kicking specialist was the problem. Think this it right in JJ's wheelhouse and he will get it worked out one way or the other.

Serious question, are there any players from this gangbusters squad that you wouldn't keep and find an excuse for?
2 years ago, I was a big proponent of keeping Rosas
after his dreadful rookie season because I thought the potential was there. He rewarded us with one of the best kicking seasons we've had. But, then last year was another bad year. Out of 3 years, 2 were bad. Is it realistic to expect him to bounce back again? Is it smart? Isn't consistency about the most important thing to get from a PK?

. Thought since most here thought judge and his team would be given a chance to make decisions about the makeup of this team. Obviously not. Judge 's strong suit is special teams and kikers are certainly part of that. He had input no doubt on this decision to keep Rosas. Regadless of what you think.

Rosas is worth keeping but he's gotta be on notice, I expect some camp legs to compete with him

Didn’t mean for that to come across as a reprimand, appreciate the info.

Sneaky, cunning 2019 Giants hid it from disclosure on injury reports and ran roughshod over the League!

Inconsistent kicking makes/breaks seasons. One of the worst things you can do as a team is work through multiple kickers on the fly in season.
I'm good with this. If he performs close to the season before this, it's money well spent.
