Not sure if this was posted in the past but a good writeup on Belichick's philosophy on offense. A little dated but with Joe Judge you have to wonder if he would have a similar mindset given the success the Patriots had.
Based on this philosophy regarding the draft I could see
1) a big center drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round
- Ruiz, Hennessey, Biadasz.
2) a short yardage running back banger that can catch
- Zack Moss, Patrick Taylor, Michael Warren.
3) a blocking tight end
- Devin Asiasi, Jared Pinkney, Ben Ellefson, Charlie Woerner.
Check out the article - a good read.

Short yardage RB? I would like to have AJ Dillon in the 4th round.
We signed two huge blocking TEs as Free Agents, Levine Toilolo and Eric Tomlinson, who are both likely to make the team.
We have Kaden Smith who is a keeper and we brought back CJ Conrad, who is a guy that I believe Joe Judge is going to like. We still have Garrett Dickerson, in his third year with the team. He had a good camp last year and still has potential. Those three are 23, 24, and 25 years old respectively.
If Evan Engram never ever again lined up as an inline TE I think he'd be almost as happy about it as the rest of us would be.
RB - I respectfully recommend BC's AJ Dillon.

me too. OT is important, but if they dont get a legit C the OL will still suck.
They said the same thing about Montana...
Then Steve Young won a superbowl with them.
When Brady was injured or suspended they still won.

because of Brady.

Thank you. Belichcik made Brady, not the other way around. I give Brady all the credit in the world for working hard and learning to get where he is but lets face it, he was 6th round pick, and if didn't go to the Pats we very well may never have heard of him. There but for the grace God he could have been taken by the 49ers instead of Tim Rattay (who you ask?). That's right, SF took Rattay over Tom Brady. How would TB have fared in the SF coaching carousel that didn't stop until Jim Harbaugh?
