Cuts

Who are some veterans from other teams that you're keeping an eye on/realistically hoping get cut as we get closer to the season? Obviously we're looking to upgrade all positions but center, wide receiver, and edge would be nice.

Chicago has 9 TEs on their roster including Cole Kmet
Jimmy Graham, amoungst others should be concerned

We desperately need a stopgap center

A one year guy who is adequate (what an improvement adequate would be) until Lemieux is ready.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
I would not be shocked if we traded a late round pick for an OC

I just would NOT be shocked if we traded for a quality starting OC. If one was cut due to cap reasons and we could land him all the better.
a name to watch is Nick Easton

Easton is a guard / center for the Saints.
He may be released as was Worford
Quote:

Easton played well for six games at left guard in relief of the injured Andrus Peat in 2019 but was also inactive for six contests. With the release of Warford, Easton will probably be safe going into training camp because of his veteran experience unless the Saints need additional cap space for another signing. New Orleans not only added guard/center Cesar Ruiz with their 1st round draft pick but also brought in undrafted rookie linemen Calvin Throckmorton, Adrian Magee, Jordan Steckler, and Darrin Paulo for competition. Ruiz and last year’s 2nd round pick Erik McCoy will be the starters at center and Warford’s vacated right guard position. If the other rookie additions play well in the preseason, New Orleans could go with the younger and cheaper options over Easton for offensive line depth.

I think he is like a poor man's Allen Robinson. He's a good route runner that can get open. His issue supposedly is concentration drops but by all accounts he's a great kid and hard worker.
I appreciate the enthusiasm

But it's a bit early to project. First off teams have expanded rosters this season. Second, it may be very hard to see these players in action this off-season. With the dynamics/logistics being what it is no one knows what will unfold.

If anything, I think you'd more likely see a player coming from offense on Dallas, or defense on GB or Miami or anyone on NE as a potential addition as if the coaches know the player is better then what they have.
