with ocean temperatures increasing as the planet, the likelihood of stronger cyclones goes up too. Hopefully we all get lucky this year and the storms miss us. We have enough to deal with.

Nice job Jim, my sarcasm wasn't plain enough for you. And yes I'm sarcastic about NOAA and its hurricane predictions. They do great work tracking and forecasting storms but their preseason predictions are as accurate as your NFL predictions.

To be fair, it was subsequently revised to "above normal."
Has NOAA or any other organization every predicted a "below normal" season? If not, wouldn't that suggest they need to recalibrate their concept of "normal"? Or at least their predictive algorithm?
