Ryan Leaf has been arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery in Palm Springs, CA ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The former NFL quarterback was taken into custody around 2 PM PT on Friday, May 22nd.

According to jail records, he was booked for domestic battery -- and bail was set at $5,000.

This stinks he was finally turning his life around.

...serious question, was he the 1st round QB that was arrested for trespassing/squatting in someone's bushes? Or was that Todd Marinovich?

I may be confusing my West coast QB's that got addicted to opioids.
$5000 bail?

How anyone could reach a conclusion that he was finally turning his life around is beyond me
It's a misquote.

Prior to this, he'd last been arrested in 2014. He'd been sober for 6 years, was working with as a mentor and ambassador (whatever exactly that is) for a recovery center for the past 2 years, and had created a foundation to fund scholarships for people in need of mental health and substance abuse treatment. Seems relatively straightforward how, prior to this, one could have viewed him as having turned things around.
