Singletary found himself in the news again as the former 49ers head man stepped down as the football coach of the Texas high school Trinity Christian Academy-Addison, the Dallas Morning News reported on Thursday. The report states that the former NFL Defensive Player of the year made the decision in December after going a combined 1-21 in two seasons at the school – including 0-11 in 2019. |
Or at least wasn’t a total travesty
Must have no players at that school

They don't. This is a small Christian school. Its not a big 5A/6A Texas school that pumps multiple players out every year to Division 1 colleges. That being said, so are the schools they were playing. I would have guessed that teams with a bunch of average athletic kids, a NFL coach could make a huge difference. These games are rarely won on talent.
If a very good coach is coaching a team that has a fraction of the talent of their opponent... they are not winning.
Example...
Don Bosco Prep is in Ramsey. The town of Ramsey also has their own high school and football team. Even if Bill Parcells coached Ramsey High School... they are not beating Don Bosco.
