is one of the few times I’ve actually jumped out of my chair while watching a TV show. That scene and its aftermath - Tony showing up to “handle” it, seeing his mother the next morning (for the first time since he almost suffocated her), putting Janice on a bus to Seattle, and sort of explaining things to Carmela later on - was some of the best material in the entire show.

He saw his mother many times before this, but never acknowledged her.

I agree, the scenes were great..

Like the Eli vs Knox scene in Boardwalk Empire.
