NFT: Any tuna fisherman out of NJ

NJBlueTuna : 5/29/2020 10:27 pm
Odd question, yes but not so odd when you look at my handle..it’s not a Parcells reference for the old timers. Lol. Always looking for crew for the charters I book out of Brielle or Point Pleasant. Have been offshore tuna fishing for 20 years with the same great Capts/boats and always have a guy or two drop from my group due to certain work commitments. Figure might as well see if there are any Giants fans to add as usually do sun-mon trips to watch the games on the satellite tv on the way out.

Please only respond if you have been offshore overnight tuna fishing before as it’s not for the newbies. And although we will have a beer or three it’s not a booze trip and won’t be tolerated. It’s a fun group of guys that go out but we are out to catch fish, not a hangover.

Regards
Very nice of you to offer this

I'd Charter you when I get out that way this year
I’m not a charter Capt/boat

I have been going with the same 2 boats for 20 years and always looking for a guy or two due to last minute work conflicts with my group. I go on top boats and Capt will only go when weather is good (ie, higher standard than “safe”) and fishing is at least decent.
Little off topic

but are the party boats operating in NJ? Any protocols in place for the charters or party boats? Sucks to have to ask.

are you fishing for giants or the other species? Long time ago I used to go with some friends during bluefin season, mostly to the Mudhole, maybe a canyon trip or two. Season used to start about mid-July as they made their swing off the US coast.

Yellowfin, longfin, mahi and sometimes swordfish at night

Don’t fish for giants. Sometimes you get a shot a 60# bluefin on way out to the canyons.
