I'm friends with Tim Starace, the bassist, on FB, and have been folloing them for several years, and through a few drummers. I'm not a big fan of Rocky, the singer, but I guess her voice is pass-able for thier music. The guitaist writes the vast majority of their original stuff. Tim just started a new job in Jersey at Tech 21, moving from Florida, though originally from the area. I think he's a Dolphins fan. Poor guy.
Neil Peart was a fantastic writer. It’s not so easy to do what he did. 😀
The lyrics/vocals just aren't working with the music for me. Couldn't make it through the whole song.
And I for one like Dog Years. Certainly not the most profound thing Neil ever wrote, but I think it's a fun little song.
And if the music wasn't so good on Virtuality, those lyrics are worse than Dog Years!!! But the music is great.
