Yes one of his better ones.

He’s also famous for giving Batman nipples on the Bat Suite for Batman and Robin

It takes a special director to bury the Batman franchise for nearly a decade.
I thought Batman Forever

was a fun movie and a nice departure from the Burton movies. Batman and Robin was completely ridiculous and deserves 100% of its bad reputation. Lost Boys was awesome. St. Elmo's Fire sucks. He had an interesting career.
Was a sweet guy to talk to but

Was way over his head as a director.
RIP

Met him a few times years ago in SoHo, was a nice man.
Schumacher didn't kill Batman and Robin
LakeGeorgeGiant : 6/22/2020 3:11 pm : link
Warner Brothers did.

WB's meddling drove Burton (and in turn Keaton) away from the franchise. Schumacher was hired because they felt they could push him around. WB only cared about selling toys. The Schumacher movies were 2 hour toy commercials.

Years later WB again destroyed a franchise when they meddled in the DC cinematic universe destroying the Justice League movie.
Tigerland's a bit of a hidden gem.

Army training move, one of Colin Farrell's early big roles.
Flatliners?
pjcas18 : 6/22/2020 3:40 pm : link
the original was him, right?

"Hoka Hey" "today is a good day to die"

although, from what I read it doesn't exactly mean that.

I liked the original flatliners. If I'm not mistaken, they remade it. I have not seen the remake.

Sure Jan.
Just looking at his IMDB page,
Pete in MD : 6/22/2020 3:50 pm : link
he made a lot of good movies. Not Fellini-type stuff but some quality entertainment over the years. St. Elmos Fire, Lost Boys, Dying Young, Flatliners, Falling Down, The Client, A Time to Kill, 8mm, etc.

My favorite lesser-known film of his is Flawless, an unlikely buddy film with Philip Seymour Hoffman playing a drag queen and Robert De Niro a retired police officer recovering from a stroke. Obviously, two great actors doing their thing in very challenging roles.
Falling down
pjcas18 : 6/22/2020 3:55 pm : link
was the one with Michael Douglas, right? if so, I like that one too.

he's responsible for some good ones.

As Santa tells the fat kid in Bad Santa, they can't all be winners.
Batman & Robin might be one of the worst movies

ever.

Arnold's character & the puns...Good God.
Falling Down is classic

Lost Boys...

… and Falling Down alone give him a pass on anything else he ever did that was not any good. Those movies were great.
My least-favorite Hollywood director from the 90s.
81_Great_Dane : 6/22/2020 6:51 pm : link
I thought "8mm" was maybe the worst movie of the decade, and that's saying something, since "Mod Squad" (not his) was a 90s movie.

But you know, he had a helluva life and career. I should be so lucky to do well and live so long.
St. Elmo’s Fire was his.
Beezer : 6/22/2020 7:29 pm : link
Popular for a generation.

A Time to Kill was pretty entertaining. The Client had Tommy Lee and Susan Sarandon. How bad could it have been?

8mm was NOT a good movie. 22% on Rotten Tomatoes and that might be too high.
As

others have noted, he made some great movies. RIP. God bless. Prayers to his family and friends.
