I think it's worth trying but I agree, I don't think it's going to work. The virus is too contagious, there are too many people walking around spreading it without knowing they have it (i.e., not enough testing), too many players who'll be exposed via little kids at home; too many players who want to go out and get laid.
Yeah, most of the players will be fine. Most of everybody will be fine. But managers, coaches, executives, trainers all are older and at more risk. Some people associated with teams, including players, are diabetic or cancer survivors. If enough players get the virus, eventually someone will get very sick. If enough people get sic, eventually someone will die. At which point, the whole plan falls apart because a lot of players will refuse to participate.
