I got a 55” Samsung QLED-Q80R tv for Xmas but have wanted to get a soundbar for it, I’d prefer wireless if possible. I’ve seen great recommendations on others looking for input into purchasing something and would appreciate any thoughts.
I have a Sonos beam and sub with a pair of one's as the rears. They're in a den that's about 15 x 15 and they fill it well. But the ceiling is only 12'. The combo is above your budget but you can mix and match pieces, leave the sub out and see how it sounds to you or wait to add the rears later if at all.
The Sonos app is much improved and has built in Alexa you can use it to easily stream off your phone or tablet.
Another great thing about the Sonos rears is they're very portable and sound great as individual stand alone. So you can use them in other rooms or outside if you have a deck. But they are AC so you need a way to plug them in.
I have a Definitive Technology in another game room with just a wireless sub no rears and it's actually a "bigger" and different sound.
My main TV room has in walls and in ceilings but with a 20' height I wouldn't recommend ceilings. If you can do it that will sound the closest to an actual theater setup but it's expensive and outside your current budget.
Here are a few links from Best Buy as a decent starting point to do your research.
Have fun. There are a lot of good choices. The two above are the best I've heard in your price range.
I have not been able to rid myself of loud action noise compared to the dialog (5th channel). I have tried several setups, but I constantly have to volume down for action noises and then volume up for the softer dialog (condo living).
The Bose soundbar has a dialog mode where they increase the 5th channel sound relative to the rest of the channels (action sound). This is all theory mind you :(.
I have moved away from a large surround sound setup as our high end music speakers overtake any SS speaker additions. I tried several SS only setup - but I have the same dialog issue every setup. We'll see if the Bose dialog mode really works.

Thanks for the feedback - will do some due diligence before I commit. Still looking to solve the 5th channel issue.
I can't run wires thru the walls, or along the floors. Does Sonos make a wireless pair of speakers ??
I'm looking on Sonos website now.....would this be their "Five" or their "One" ??
