1990: 6-0 #NYGiants vs 4-2 Redskins. The @Giants beat Washington earlier in DC. In 2nd quarter CB Brian Davis was a target of the Giants & @PhilSimmsQB hit Stephen Baker for a TD and a late shove drew a penalty (and Bavaro & William Roberts' ire). 7-0 Giants lead. #GiantsPride

1990: Not sure what was smoother- @PhilSimmsQB play fake rollout and hit Bavaro for a TD or the words "Simms to Bavaro" coming out of Summerall's mouth. We even saw the rarest of the rare, a Bavaro smile. 14-0 #NYGiants lead. #GiantsPride

1990: Up 14-0 this was an example of #NYGiants defensive dominance working together with the @Giants Stadium crowd in a 3 and out for the Redskins that included a @LT_56 pressure (running over Russ Grimm) on one play & a safety blitz Greg Jackson sack on the next. #GiantsPride

1990: Parcells ran more specials trick plays & go for it on 4th than any #NYGiants coach I can remember. But I never saw this version of @LT_56 running across the field and into a go pattern into the end zone. LT was amazing. Like @RichSeubert69 in 2002, this was PI #GiantsPride

@BigBlueVCR
1990: The Redskins came back & looked to take the lead in the 4th quarter at the 3 yard line. Earnest Byner had a great career (~13k total yards in the NFL). But his fumble in the 1987 AFCC in Denver was a blemish. And this mistake led to a Jackson pick. #NYGiants #GiantsPride

@BigBlueVCR
1990: Football is a field position game. And when done right all 3 phases work together. Special Teams flips field position and sets up wins (or loses games). #NYGiants had 2 of the best: P Sean Landeta and Reyna Thompson to cover. This play was a prime example #GiantsPride

1990: Walls played 9 years in Dallas and never scored a TD. @Walls_24 put the game away w/ his 2nd pick on the day & returned for a TD & 21-10 lead. @GaryReasons hit on Humphries would result in a concussion & the QB wouldn't return. Listen to that crowd. #NYGiants #GiantsPride

Oct 28 is the best day....right CiP?
@BigBlueVCR
1990: Adding this in at the end of the game
-#NYGiants going to 7-0 & essentially a 4 game lead in NFCE putting the division away & Madden saying they could be the best team in the NFL
-@PepJ52
dance
-Madden saying @OJAnderson24
was getting younger and growing hair

Yes Bill was a big believer in flipping momentum. And he had a great feel for when to do it.

I remember this game vividly was in college at UMD. it was great sweeping them those years. The interesting thing bout this play was it was a real momentum changer...for the Skins. They were down 14-0 and they got back to 14-10 and on the doorstep when Byner dropped the pass in the endzone right into Jackson's hands. I remember as the skins were driving to possibly take the lead they posted a stat for the total yds before and after the fake and I forget what it was exactly but before it was like 175-10 Giants and after it was totally reversed in favor of the Skins. While Parcells did have a nack for calling great special teams fakes, that was one time he probably would have been better off taking the 3 and the 17-0 lead.
He did make some plays. Maybe not enough to justify his draft position, but more than I remember.
