NFT: Best multitasking monitor for home office

Given the pandemic I've been working from home more than usual and find myself in need of a really good monitor to connect to my Windows Surface. I'd like to get one with good split screen capability for multitasking. Any suggestions (and it would be nice to stay around $300)?

Are the most cost effective large format PC monitors. If you get a 40 or 43 inch 4K set, you have so much real estate that you can split the screen into quadrants for multitasking. Anything bigger than that is going to be too big for desktop use.

I would recommend it. The stand is more of an arm that attacks to the back of the desk, so the monitor “floats”

Keeps pretty much the entire desk as usable space

27 inch monitor that I am quite happy with. It is 2K resolution (4K is a bit much at this size). Decide if you want one or two. I have 2 at work, and as much as I like this one, constantly resizing the windows to have two things on screen is a bit of a pain. Two monitors make it easier (I miss my work set up a bit). I would say two smaller 1080p units (24 or less) or one larger 27 inch 1440p or 30 or larger 2160p.

You mention multitasking so perhaps dual is the way to go. Using your laptop as the second screen isn't perfect but works for some people.
