NFT: Pet safe weed control solutions

Does anyone adhere to a lawn care regiment using products that are deemed safe for pets? Using a broadcast spreader ideally. My lawn has gotten away from me this season. I have been using Gardens Alive! products and not thrilled with results. Thanks.
see if there is a Naturalawn franchise near you

in NJ my lawn was incredible and healthy.

Wish there was one here in the mid south.
We use a formula that we found on the web

That consists of white vinegar, salt and Dawn liquid detergent. It works pretty well but not as well as the deadly stuff you can buy from the store. I put it in a 2 gallon pump sprayer and if you do it every week it will keep the worst of it at bay. Any longer than that and you will be fighting a losing battle.
Be careful with salt.

if you salt your land nothing will grow there ever again.

Yea, I think this is good for patios/walkways, but if you do this over your yard, isn't it going to kill the grass too?
Try a simple lighter

Bic should do.....
And don't blow directly into the pooches face. That should keep him safe. ;)
I'm not sure, but it's wise to be cautious

My bluetick coonhound most likely ate grass with weed killer and died.

and a spring rake ;)
Sorry I should have clarified

Yes, I only use this weed killer on walkways and the like. I would imagine the salt would kill anything.

Good luck!

See that, I was going to recommend keeping the weed in a cookie jar where the dog couldn't get to it.
Seriously though, I've heard apple cider vinegar might work.
I burn 'em

hook up my torch to a propane tank....must be very very careful by any sort of structure though, and if near any structures, you MUST have a hose at the ready....extremely satisfying too
oh...just saw "lawn care"

obviously you can't go using a torch on your lawn
Weed is safe for all pets and animals

It won't get them high. At worst it will cause an upset stomach if eaten raw. Same as with humans.
