NFT: All Time Favorite Beer Commercial Jingles

LTIsTheGreatest : 7/10/2020 9:37 am
Anyone have any favorite beer jingle from the 70s on? Mine was always the Rheingold beer jingle

"My beer is Rheingold the dry beer"

Number 2 is Miller High Life; "If you've got the time.... we've got the beer"

"Schaefer is the one beer to have - when you're having more than one"

Making you feel good about drinking multiple beers. I was too young to understand it at the time.

"Who is the ale man? He could be you - a man with a taste for a manlier brew."

It did sound very manly - again, I was too young at the time. But the jingles are stuck in my head forever. That was for Ballantine's ale BTW.

Long before I could even think about drinking beer, there were Schaefer (along with Schlitz and Rheingold beers) Beer commercials during Met's games.

"Schafer is the one beer to have when you're only having one" is etched in my brain.

Also, I remember the cigarette commercials for Winston, Salem, Virginia Slims, and Marlboro... Good times, beer and cigarettes.

In my feeble defense... that was 50 years ago. Tommie Agee was still patrolling center field.
LOL - I watched a lot of Mets games in those days too

the rookie beer truck driver was made to stand on a keg and sing the Schaefer song in front of a bunch of wizened old truck drivers.

He had a beautiful voice and even the most hardened truck driver had a tear in his eye and his hat on his heart when he finished singing.

LOL.....The things you remember!

That's the one that came to my mind first. My father was a Schaefer salesman in the 1970s. Back then it was a decent beer. Not so much now. But the jingle is a classic.

"Schaefer pleasure doesn't fade even when your thirst is done. The most rewarding flavor in this man's world for people who are having fun".
You make a ring

and add another ring and then another ring and you've got three rings Ballantine, and now it's premium, it's a very special glass of beer.

(Budweiser Beer)

Budweiser beer, the King the King is second to none
The King is callllling, so loud and clear

I totally agree. I can still see the commercial that was on during the baseball games when all the truck drivers are gathered in the cafeteria and the new kid has to stand up on the table and sing.

Out comes this amazing voice as he sings the jingle. When it is done they pan out and you here, "Not bad, kid."
