Ending the week with one of the shortest kickoff return TDs in NFL history. Jason Sehorn's #NYGiants career took a turn after tearing his ACL in the 1998 preseason returning a kickoff but here his onside return vs Coughlin's Jax team clinched homefield in 2000. #GiantsPride

What I remember most about it is that it was a tense, tightly contested game for three quarters as Jacksonville lead 10-7 entering the 4th. The final 15 minutes were off the rails with 36 total points scored, including Amani Toomer making a great catch for a score.
But I got you to look! ;)

Et tu, Brute?
Sehorn was never the same. He obviously had a good career after that injury, but man...he was on the fast track for superstardom after '97. Just sucks.
I believe Sehorn's jersey was the second Giants jersey I bought, after Hampton. I've only gotten 4 (Hampton, Sehorn, Eli, & Tuck.)

I was really hoping the 1998 Giants were going to rock but losing a top corner like that in pre-season seemed to shake me and the team. Real bummer.

I remember my buddy busting my balls about that I had just bought Sehorn's jersey the afternoon of that injury. I was at that game too but we got there late after it started and didn't know what happened until listening to the radio during the postgame in the parking lot. Fassel sounded pretty bummed out

Awesome!
Osi Umenyiora had to be one of the biggest. If he hadn't gotten hurt, the 2008 Giants probably win the Superbowl, because the defensive line wouldn't have worn down.
And he married Angie Harmon!!! Dude had it all for a while!
