Greg Cosell discussing the Giants

Sean : 7/11/2020 9:33 am
Please forgive me for linking an Eagles podcast, but I saw Cosell retweet this podcast which is a focus on the Giants.

Fast forward to the 5:45 mark and it is all Giants talk. Cosell is positive about their prospects on offense.

How can one not be?

The Ol on paper is improved, SB is hopefully back to himself physically, Jones in year 2 with a very QB-friendly OC in Garrett..
Complete ne system

New HC, QB and pretty much overhaul of the entire coaching staff with no preparation for the season due to a pandemic. How can anyone reasonably have any expectations for this season??

The OL is not set, we don't know how Solder is gonna play. I don't buy into the whole personal issues was affecting his play. He was no good. We have a rookie starting at RT and prospects trying out to be the Center. Hopefully, Hernandez and Zeitler can get better.
Giants need to be great at something

You always want the qb to exhibit greatness and with the investments made offensively, 2nd year qb, now is the time. Love that they finally, post Barkley pick, invested big time resources to the running game. It was high time. Now they need to run the ball at an elite level. Let’s fucking go. If they can run the ball, we know Jones can sling it, we know he can move a little, that’s a recipe for offensive success. Like top 10 success. We have to run the ball. Do that and it all falls into place.
Good interview Coselll tends to an optimistic edge of realistic imo

Which is fine. A telling point when the convo went into how a young team with a new head coach/staff and so many changes will suffer more than most by losing the on field reps and prep work of the off season. It's a take I agree with.

The impatient Giants fans here on BBI won't want to hear this but it's going to be tough sledding this season. Look to 2021 for real progress in the win column.
