T Matt Peart, the Giants' third rounder, has agreed to terms on his rookie contract, a source confirms.
He'll join CB Darnay Homes (fourth), G Shane Lemieux (fifth) and LB Cam Brown (sixth) in showing up for COVID tests tomorrow and will sign after taking a physical.

T Andrew Thomas, the Giants' first-round pick, is on his way to NJ, according to a source, but he has not agreed to a contract yet.
With Giants rookies reporting tomorrow morning, it's a good sign that he'll be in the area. Presumably it won't be long before he has a deal.
Let’s go!

I'm told Giants first-round draft pick Andrew Thomas is in New Jersey, but the two sides have yet to agree to terms on his rookie contract, per source.
There is optimism that Thomas and the Giants come to an agreement today.
Height: 6-6. Weight: 310. Arm: 35.13. Hand: 9.75.
40 Time: 5.06.
Projected Round (2020): 2-3.
4/21/20: Peart continued his starting streak at right tackle for Connecticut. He then had a good week at the Senior Bowl, displaying that he has a skill set to become a starter in the NFL. Peart might start out as a backup, but he has the upside to be a good edge blocker. He has good athleticism, quickness, feet and size. At the combine, Peart ran a fast 40-yard dash. Some team sources feel Peart could be a steal in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
On wonders if one of those teams that thought Peart would be a "steal" in the third round was the Giants.
2020 Draft OTs - ( New Window )
If we land 2 cornerstones out of this draft bodes really well for the future of the franchise.
Quote:
In my opinion, Thomas is the best tackle prospect for the 2020 NFL Draft but he is not as flashy of an athlete as Wirfs, Wills, and Becton. Without question, Thomas is the most pro ready and the best overall player at this time. He just may not have as much athletic upside as the other three as they have more quickness and athleticism. However, Thomas is a pure football player, and this analyst thinks that could override the potential to result in Thomas being the best pro player.
Would this shortened offseason give an edge to Thomas to be the best performer of the four this season since he is the most NFL-ready? In the long run, the other guys may overtake him due to their superior athleticism, but for this season, Thomas may shine far more.
I've heard it as Pairt, Pairtee and Pert.
As a Canadian who is ashamed to admit he spent a third of his life calling the drummer from Rush "Neil Pert", I'd rather not repeat the mistake.

It's spelled P-E-A-R-T, but it's pronounced Throat-Warbler-Mangrove.
I of course have no clue if that is correct or not.
It's the work ethic, intelligence and possibly injury luck that will likely determine whom among them turns out best.
