In the 9 years that the BBI Giant of the Year was awarded (2005-2013), the Giants had a winning percentage of .594, made the playoffs 5 times and won two ships. They had only losing season, the last (7-9).
It has been 6 years now without an Award, and needless to say, it has been ugly outside of 2016, with a pathetic winning percentage of .360. Take out the freak year of 2016, and that drops to .300.
Maybe presenting the award again this year would get the team back on track? A guy like Darius Slayton or Markus Golden, who both made an impact in 2019, might be a good choice.
And raising money for it started a shitstorm.
Beyond that, with COVID restrictions, there would be no way to present it to the player.
List all the previous years winners and then have a yearly poll where BBIers would vote on the Best Giants player from the previous year. This literally would have no cost impact to you and might be a fun yearly activity for BBI. Maybe a Player of the Year discussion thread stickied at that top of the Corner Form for 1-2 weeks and then a poll created to vote on the best Giants player from the previous season.
With all Hope did for BBIers, it would be a great way to honor her memory, have no direct cost to you, create some new yearly content/discussions on who the player of the year might be among BBIers.......Plus more importantly, no denying the Giants "luck" when that award was active compared to the Giants record when it wasn't. LOL

That's a great idea. Let's revisit that again in November/December... someone remind me.
Indeed...
What a fun time that was
I would be willing to fund the trophy each year if Eric wants to do it again
