everything public is about moving forward with business as usual. If there is a plan I don't think it is public yet.

But I do know is that if the Patriots wind up with Trevor Lawrence, this league should be shut down for the next 10 years. :P

I think the NHL did something like this after their lockout season.

The NFL starts with the draft order (final standings) from the 2019 season, and divides the 32 teams into three buckets.

The 10 teams with the worst record in the first bucket, followed by the middle 11 teams in the second bucket and the 11 teams with the best record in the third bucket.

Then have an NBA-style lottery to determine the order of teams in each bucket.

Obviously if the NFL did it this way it COULD hurt the Giants, especially compared to taking a teams records over the last three seasons.

No matter what the NFL decides you can bet they will turn it into a prime-time TV event. (That's why I don't think they'll just go with either same draft order as the 2019 season or combined team records over the last three seasons.)

Season they are going to have a tough time evaluating players as well.

It's an obstacle, for sure. But I don't see how you can hold those kids back from pursuing their entry to the league when it was only by way of arbitrary rule that many of them weren't allowed to enter the draft this year. You don't think a ton of the premium sophomores and redshirt frosh would have entered the draft this year if they were allowed?
