It will be next year he will have to earn a spot so they can wait and see with him. I gather he's fast for a RB but don't know if he's got WR speed. At 5'11" and 200 he seems a bit more more WR size.
He does not look that strong. Check out the thin neck.
Unless his English is really good, he will have trouble fully understanding what is being said in team meetings, learning the plays, and also perhaps, bonding with his teammates. If he has to pass-block, he really needs to understand what is being said in the huddle.
There are very few non-American players other than kickers. There must be a reason for this.
His experience in the USA will make him a better European player. I think that's his main reason for being here, regardless of his chances of sticking with the Giants.
teach English well from an early age. I suspect he's considered a plug-in backup for SB, but I'd love to see his blocking - not a high bar, I know. As for return duties, it's hard to beat what's on Javon Leake's highlight reel. When it comes to acceleration, he's a turbo-freak.
That he's a PR move intended to promote European interest in football/NFL. Making a 53-man roster... I mean, seriously??
This is probably how Europeans feel about Americans coming over to play in their leagues. But there have been a few success stories... I think. Definitely not my area of expertise:).
I do know that there are a good number of foreign born players in the NFL, so who knows....lets see what he's got.

Most young Germans speak and understand English very well. Plus, playing football, he's been around terminology in English for quite some time.
Bad year to do this for him.

Jints' Giant Jamaican born: Matt Peart.
Jumbo sized Jamaican Giant.
Frank: Jamaica?
Eddie: No, it was her idea.

That isn't a legitimate reason to knock him.
I’m sorry to hear about your physical limitations. But congrats on your award. Keep chugging along little buddy
who can get 14 yards a carry in Europe, or in any league, deserves a look.
Having said that, kickoff returner is probably his best shot.
