decided to switch offense to blue and defense to white, as some sort of tactic to turn around the fate of the team. I think he flipped it back next year.
Sounds unusual but guessing here they want to the player getting the work done and not judge based on the name. Kind of fits in with the idea Judge used earlier this year about making a case for the roster no matter how long you've been in the league, how much money you're making, or where you were drafted.
And then, they climb onto crowded bus to Quest center?
Crowded bus? How do you know how many people were on the bus? You donβt think itβs possible that there were multiple buses? And/or shuttling players in small groups?
If looks meant something, I'd be tempted to say Lemieux looks as mean and nasty as a junkyard dog and should live up to his reputation, and Peart looks freaking huge, with a growl on his mug as well.
Kinda glad Thomas is almost surely back to LT. There's photos of him in both LT and RT stances, and maybe it's my imagination but he looks more comfortable in the LT stance.
Lou, thanks for mentioning the pics on giants.com ... Β
Itβs surprising (and good) to see Connelly running without any brace. I think Coughlin and Cam Brown are 2 guys that are going to stick ... and George Aston looks like a throwback to the days of Jim Taylor.
Matt Peart is massive....looks to be wearing shoulder pads Β
Listening to every podcast video and interview after the draft, and a repeated comment by various levels of pro football folks, from scouts to media pundits to ex GMs, made mentioned of how Peart should be "the first guy off the bus".
Which struck me as a contrast to Diehl and O'Hara's comments calling Peart "Manute Bol".
Maybe O'Hara and DD were just a bit jealous of Peart's chiseled V look for an OL at 315#, maybe they thought he really is too skinny. Many say he hasn't filled out to his full NFL size, but for sure you can see in the photos he's both huge long and thick.
not surpried with no masks. I have little hope for the games to be played this year.
I cautiously disagree. I think these leagues can make this work, even if they aren't socially distancing ON the field, as long as they are cool off the field and playing it safe. No one will spread anything if they aren't sick. And if they aren't idiots off the field, they won't get sick. We will have isolated issues, people are going to catch it at some point, but I think and hope the incidents are isolated or few and far between.
Sticking to my guns, we will be watching NYG football all season long.
Your 1st string with the rookies what position does that put you at with the vets number two or even three? How will they get these guys to accumulate since they will not practice together how do you know where you stand roster making wise?

There are no real practices until August 18 when the roster is cut to 80. And there will only be 14 practices (not all full padded) before the season starts.

But on the bright side, you can sign a guy off the street the day before the season starts and he wonβt be that far behind....

set to the worst possible music in the playlist
He will be the Giants' starting OC by 2021...
π
.
Kind of a weird clip and soundtrack, though.
These guys have all been double tested and passed as not having or carrying the virus, nu?
They don't need to social distance from each other or wear masks in each other's presence.
It's interacting with the outside world they must be wary of...
