Can confirm Saints agreed to deal with WR Bennie Fowler, per source, pending covid testing and physical. 6-1, 212-pounder spent first 4 yrs with Broncos, last 2 with Giants as backup/special teams. 95 career catches, 1,090 yards, six TDs. Will battle for spot at crowded position

Report: #Falcons agree to terms with CB Darqueze Dennard, who will play nickel back

I can confirm Bucs have agreed to terms with veteran RB LeSean McCoy on a one-year deal, as ⁦‪@AdamSchefter‬⁩ first reported. Upgrade to depth and pass-catching at the position, something Tom Brady will use a lot this season
Fowler Was OK, but He Had Similar Skills to Several Other Receivers

Good luck to him in New Orleans.

If TB

D can hold up their end they could be a playoff contender.

Brady, Gronk, Wirfs, McCoy all nice additions on O to one of the top WR duos in the league

Listen, Brady is way better than Winston so don't take this the wrong way but Winston put up video game numbers there. I don't know of I see the same from Brady. Winston has a much stronger arm than Brady and is like Rex Grossman (fuck it, I'm going deep). That's not Brady's game. Brady will not make the mistakes that Winston does though.

I am actually very intrigued to see Brady in Arians' offense. Arians already said he isn't changing the offense. So, that is a big mistake in my opinion if true. Arians leaves his QB vulnerable. Brady is nowhere near the same pressure. Brady's strengths are accuracy, getting rid of the ball quickly, and reading a defense. He's not mobile. He's not going to be at his best chucking the ball downfield. He's not at his best with longer developing routes. This is a drastic change from what he has played in his whole career.

I would love him to succeed. It would be great for his legacy. However, I have my concerns that people think he's going to put up these gaudy numbers. I'm not so sure.
I don't know how
pjcas18 : 7/30/2020 9:23 pm : link
gaudy Brady's numbers will be, but I do think that offense has a lot of weapons and it will be hard to defend them, and who knows how forthcoming Arians is about changing the offense or not. Maybe they will change it, maybe they won't, but I never take an NFL coach at his word.

If they go two TE with Gronk and Howard, and Evans and Godwin at wide out and Ro-Jo or even McCoy at RB, that's a lot of options and quite a few mismatches.

health could be an issue for Gronk and Brady though, they're not exactly young.
Yes, ton of weapons.

Weapons aren't the issue to me. It's the OL with the system. It'll be fun to see.

Arians’ offense may suit Brady better than Winston. Winston went off script early.
I thought the Giants cut Fowler a bit early. He brought some maturity

To the WR group.
Brady is used to every style

In 07 all he did was long developing routes, he knows how to adapt well and he’s the GOAT, I wouldn’t bet against him. The one game he had Antonio a brown, he went crazy, and that wasn’t on short routes.

He had Moss so he threw fades. That was also 13 years ago.
I think Brady is smart enough

To do what works for him and team. He will make adjustments to minimize his weak points. He is old for football though and that will at some point catch up. Bill is good at getting players out when the time is right. We will see (maybe).
